Shadow Brushes| The Basics

Hey guys, Jay here. Sometimes it's hard to figure out what eyeshadow brushes are essential for a look. So I thought I would tell you guys what brushes I think are must haves for a eyeshadow look, and what the basic shadow brushes are. Enjoy

Flat Shader Brush (1)
This brush is perfect for packing on the color all over your lid. Practically it's perfect for just putting the color all over the lid. It's great for creating a base color, lid color or just plain applying it all by itself. This brush is usually flat and curved at the top.

Fluffy Blending Brush (2)

This is great for blending out your eyeshadow look so it gives more of a natural look or to get rid of harsh lines in your eye shadow look. This brush is also great for adding a bit of contour to the eyelid when you don't want much on the eyes. This brush simply looks like a big fluffy brush.

Tapered Blending Brush (3)
This brush is perfect for defining the crease, and really getting into the outer v and outer corner of the eyelids in your eyeshadow looks. This brush is like a fluffy brush though is tapered at the end to get into corners and define the eyes more. I talk more about this kind of brush in this post here.
